Czy ktoś mnie jeszcze pamięta??

Długa to była przerwa, ale wracam z nowymi pomysłami.
Postanowiłam skupić się na strunach oraz trochę je podrasować. Oczywiście jeśli ktoś nadal zainteresowany jest moimi poprzednimi projektami, gdzie to struny grały pierwsze skrzypce, to jak najbardziej zrobię!

Poniżej dwójka z moich dzisiejszych dzieci.

Is there anybody out there?

Too long a break, I know! But I have some fresh ideas.
I decided to concentrate on guitar strings still but this time I want to add some bling!

Obviously, if anyone's still interested in my previous projects, I'm happy to make simple guitar bracelets or rings. Just let me know!

But now I present you, my dear magpies, two of my new babies that I've made today.
So, what do you think?

A może struny gitarowe i eleganckie błyskotki?
How about rustic guitar strings and pretty elegant beads?

Witajcie!

Dziś przedstawiam Wam pomysł na biżuterię w stylu "coś z niczego".

Hi!
Today I'll show you how to make interesting jewellery pieces out of strings.

Pomysł pojawił się, kiedy zobaczyłam w domu stare struny od gitary. Zazwyczaj lądują w koszu, ale tym razem postanowiłam dać im nowe życie. No i nadal czekam na moje narzędzia, więc muszę się czymś zająć do czasu ich powrotu.

Na zdjęciach zobaczyć możecie dwie bransoletki oraz trzy pierścionki. Wiem, że nie są idealne, ale szybko się uczę i następne będą ładniejsze. ;)


The idea came to me when I saw old guitar strings lying about in my house.Usually they end up in the landfill but this time I decided to give them a new life. I'm still waiting for my tools to arrive, so I need to do something with my hands...
In the pictures you can see two bracelets and three rings. I know they're not perfect, but it's still a learning stage and I'm sure I'll be getting better with time. ;)

Materiał z jakich struny są wykonane jest niezwykle mocny, często owinięte są dodatkowo kolejną warstwą stali, miedzi czy też brązu. Różnią się grubością i kolorem, co daje mi wiele możliwości.
Zaczęłam od prostych projektów, ale mam już w zanadrzu jeszcze wiele innych. Potrzebuję tylko więcej strun.

Jeżeli ktoś z Was ma gdzieś jakieś stare struny od gitary, skrzypiec, mandoliny czy innych instrumentów, to chętnie je przygarnę i z pewnością ucieszą nie jedno oko będąc pierścionkiem, naszyjnikiem czy kolczykami.

Zaskakująco, Emrys nie był zbyt pomocny... schował się pod kocem i tylko od czasu do czasu wystawiał łepek, aby sprawdzić, czy wszyscy są w domu.


The material that the strings are made out of is incredibly strong. They're sometimes wound with another type of thin wire (steal, copper, etc.). They differ in thickness and colour, which makes them very versatile. I started with simple projects, but I'm thinking of many more different ones. I just need more strings!

If any of you has or knows someone who can have some old guitar, violin, bass etc. strings, I'll be happy to use them. They make get a chance to become a bracelet, a ring or maybe a necklace.

Suprisingly, Emrys didn't want to help this time. He just hid under the blanket and only from time to time peeked to check if everyone is home.
